A Study of the Characteristics of Abused Children Manifested on the Korean Silver Drawing Test

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the response characteristics of abused children by the Korean Silver Drawing Test. The sample consisted of 94 children(60 unabused children and 34 abused children). The measuring tool used K-SDT developed by Silver(1981) and translated by Myoung-Hae Moon, Chang-Jin Byeon, Jin-Seung Choe. The results of the study were as follows: First, psychological responses were statistically significant difference in K-SDT. second, drawings by children who neglected children or emotional abused represented a lot of monster-like figures. Such results showed that there were correlation among abused children and that they are emotional and cognitive differences from unabused children.
